Hello World!

This is the first message on dbemaryland, the official blog of the Daughters of the British Empire in the State of Maryland. We are a society of women of British or Commonwealth descent. Our aims are the support of retirement homes in the United States, local philanthropy, and the promotion of Anglo-American amity. Very soon we will have further posts about the DBE organization in Maryland, how we fit in with the National organization, and most importantly, all the fun activities of the local Maryland chapters!
